sudden death//nonstop charette till the end!

oookay my studio has been transformed by heaps of fabric, boning, elastic and pins everywhere in preparation for the fashion show NEXT WEEKEND! ahhh! but in exciting news, a beautiful package from emily came yesterday!

i've been telling everyone that i have now entered the 'sudden death' phase of my sewing schedule (ya know, when the game is tied, you've already done overtime, and now its at the point of just trying to score)... i have about 4 dresses to make and about 10, well let's be honest- 15, to finish. yyyeah.... haha

last night at around 2am i started pinning 2 separate garments on top of each other... because i couldnt be bothered to remove the dress i was currently working on (on top in black) and i wanted to switch directors for a bit, so i just tacked it all ontop of each other. madness.

so emily and i have been working around the clock in the first big push for the sept 5 show: a photoshoot with kim raff this sunday. its going to be really nice.

emily has been printing up a storm with her map of dc screenprint she made. it's so awesome!

FALL FASHION SHOW SCHEDULED

i have been sewing up a storm in the studio in the last few weeks! and even more exciting, we finalized a date for the next show:

at the glass building- 1009 jefferson street, downtown lynchburg, va

please come! this will be the 3rd fashion show i've done in lynchburg, and it will definitely be the best yet! 2 new local fashion designers have come out of the lynchburg woodwork and they will be showing their debut collections. more on that soon!

there is also an amazing shoe store that will be donating shoes for the runway to be auctioned off afterwords, fusion salon will once again be doing amazing hair and makeup, nate hall of rivermont pizza will be coordinating the delicious food and art for the pre-runway party, and there will be music and dancing afterwords!
