now that those awesome spring 09 pix are finally accounted for, its time to start the chronicles of fall09/spring10. chromat will be showing a fall 09 collection in lynchburg in late august/early september and a spring 10 collection everywhere else to coincide with the new york spring 10 shows in mid-september.

this beautiful cage spread has been on both our minds ever since i snatched up this awesome mag in portland back in february. i have so much boning right now just waiting to be shaped into amazing garments.

emilys letters are beautiful. see? so nice. this is a really nice controlled chaos aesthetic that i want to exploit this season.

flashback to the making of spring

im in the process of consolidating and cleaning out the folders on my computer to make room for fall 09/spring 10 inspiration, and i came across alot of great gems from the process of making spring 09 that i had to share. isnt emily cute?

oh right and we took a moment to learn beyonce's 'single ladies.' this obviously helped pull the collection together as you can see.

here it is, the machine that makes all the magic happen. this weekend i will hopefully be using it a lot. i've been working on making some new muslin walls for john carl's apartment, a wedding dress for a friend, a shell printed dress for myself, and of course the new collection that will show in late august!!!

we went on the tour de brooklyn through a crazy hassidic jewish neighborhood. at every cross street a fight was breaking out between the car drivers and the cops who were blocking the intersection.
