chaotic environment

kim raff and i have a photo shoot next weekend with some beautiful models in the floral house. i can't wait! i hope the pictures evoke the chaos of this amazing photo of diana vreeland i found on the new york times website yesterday!

holocene

we danced on saturday night at holocene in matching chromat: me in my nye horizontal-hip floral bustier dress and she in her new red floral vertical striped high neck jumper

portland photo shoot!

we had a photoshoot on sunday, my last day in portland. i think it turned out realy nice! i cant wait to see what brent and emily do in photoshop with them. the model was a beautiful coworker and friend of emilys named kelly. more on this later!

in portland!

hello! i arrived in portland on saturday night, and ive been eating delicious food and strolling down memory lane ever since. look! a floral bike! this may be a ghost bike, but usually those are white. so i think its a chromat spring floral bike!

we made pink cupcakes on saturday for the love party. emily likes color gradations.

emily's inspiration wall... i like to compare and contrast with my own. there is a bit of overlap.

goodbye, sweet studio!

i have packed up the entirety of my studio here in lynchburg and am off to portland tomorrow morning! i'll be staying with emily and hopefully taking the entire week of vacation to get some real work done on the collection. i've gotten about 8 dresses done so far and i want to have 15 more. plus some menswear! yeah, i can do it all in one week.
i'll also be visiting some of my old favorite places in portland- i used to live there- like reading frenzy, kens, hot lips, holocene, seaplane, rich's... oh i can't wait!! PDX HERE I COME!
