the hair and makeup from the kenzo spring 09 is really romantic. this is probably the direction i'm headed for chromat runway spring 09.

yeay! i finally finished this yellow skirt. its made out of thick drapes. a 2 way zipper goes up the back.

these collages are for a zine colaboration that i'm doing with nate hall, a lynchburg friend. this will be our third and final installment of MISTER BABY: a zine about colors. i have done four collages per zine related to the three primary colors: red, blue and yellow and he did the inverse: green, orange and purple. these are my yellows!

emily starched out this skirt over the weekend. next shes going to cut out everything but the seams!

black and white

joy came this weekend! we wore black and white, baked, made collages and sewed. shes so photogenic i couldn't resist taking millions of pictures of her. here are some of the best...

also i should mention that the black sheer sleeves and the black skirt joy is wearing are chromat: i made the cage at the bottom hem and pulled it up to the waist. also, the white dress i'm wearing is chromat: i sewed it out of a bedspread- the kind with all the raised up pills!

YES

i made these obama dresses way back in october for the election. this weekend i broke them back out to celebrate the inaguaration. i wore the black one 'MAKE HISTORY' to a smokey club, and the white one 'YES, I'M ASKING YOU TO BELIEVE, OBAMA '08 CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN' to work today! i'm going to see his speech at lunch!
